Chocolate Cake without oven | Eggless Chocolate cake | Chocolate Cake using cooker

Ingredients: (1 cup = 240 ml)

¾ cup curd

¾ cup sugar

½ cup oil

1.5 cup maida or all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

¼ cup cocoa powder

½ to ¾ cup milk (boiled and room temp)

1.5 cup salt for baking

For chocolate frosting:

½ cup butter

2 cups powdered sugar or icing sugar

1/3 cup cocoa powder

¼ cup milk

 

Preparation:

  • Firstly, in a pressure cooker add in 1.5 cups of salt, spread evenly and place a stand. Close the lid of cooker without gasket and whistle
  • Heat for 10 minutes
  • Meanwhile take large mixing bowl , add in ¾ cup curd, ¾ cup sugar and mix well until sugar completely dissolves
  • Add ½ cup oil and mix well
  • Now add 1.5 cup sieved maida, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp baking soda and ¼ cup cocoa powder and combine everything well by adding ½ to ¾ cup milk
  • Transfer the batter to the cake mould and place it to the preheated cooker
  • Close the lid of the cooker and bake for 40 to 50 minutes in low to medium flame
  • Insert a toothpick at the centre and check, if it comes out clean then the cake is done
  • Remove the cake from the cooker carefully and allow it to cool down
  • For chocolate frosting, add in ½ cup room temperature butter in a large mixing bowl and  beat well until creamy
  • Add 2 cups of powdered or icing sugar 1/3 cup cocoa powder, add ¼ cup milk and beat until it turns creamy
  • Cut the cake horizontally into halves
  • Now spread chocolate frosting evenly on the top and sides of the cake
  • Cut in to slices

Chocolate cake is ready to serve!!!
