Chocolate Ice Cream

We would have seen chocolate ice cream recipes where actual chocolates are used to prepare the ice cream; here we are going to see how to prepare chocolate ice cream without using chocolates. This is a real easy recipe and takes only a very little time to prepare while it has to be frozen for at least 8 hours. Now let’s see in detail,

 

Servings: 4

Ingredients: (1 cup=240ml)

300ml double cream or whipping cream

150ml Condensed milk

¼ cup milk

2 tbsp cocoa powder

 

Preparation:

  • Firstly, boil ¼ cup milk then add 2 tbsp cocoa powder and mix without lumps for a minute in low flame.
  • It will start thickening within a minute, so don’t mix it for long time, it may get burnt
  • Cool the mixture completely.
  • Add 150ml condensed milk( or you can also add some more condensed milk as per the taste) and mix well
  • In a large bowl add whipping cream and blend using electric hand blender until it forms stiff peaks
  • Add cocoa mixture in the whipped cream; fold and mix everything well
  • Transfer this to the mould or plastic container. Cover this with baking paper to avoid crystallization and on top of it cover with aluminium foil
  • Freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight
  • Finally it’s time to scoop out the ice cream

Chocolate ice cream is ready to serve!!
