Gobi Manchurian Recipe | Cauliflower Manchurian Recipe | Indo Chinese Recipe

Gobi Manchurian is a famous indo Chinese recipe. It has become very popular in India and hence we have customized it according to our taste. It is a starter recipe and is available in almost all the restaurants and fast foods across India and many other places. Whenever we go out to restaurants, it’s a must for us in starters and it also goes well with Veg fried rice.

 

Servings: 2

Ingredients: (1 cup = 240ml)

For boiling:

Florets from1 small cauliflower head

Water to blanch cauliflower

Salt to taste

For batter:

5 tbsp maida (all purpose flour)

3 tbsp corn flour

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp red chilli powder

1/3 cup water or as required

Salt to taste

For sauce preparation:

1 tbsp oil

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

¼ tsp salt

2 tsp soya sauce

2 tsp red chilli sauce

2 tsp vinegar

2 tsp tomato sauce

¼ tsp pepper powder

1 tsp corn flour

1/3 cup water

2 tbsp spring onions

 

Preparation:

  • Boil some water in a pan, add some salt, cauliflower florets and boil 2 to 3 minutes
  • Drain off the water and pour some cold water to the cauliflower to stop cooking, then keep aside
  • In a mixing bowl, add 5 tbsp maida, 3 tsp corn flour, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder, salt and add water little by little and mix smooth batter
  • Coat cauliflower with maida and corn flour batter well
  • Deep fry the gobi in hot oil until it turns crispy
  • For gobi manchurian sauce, heat a large kadai or pan and add 2 finely chopped garlic, 1 small onion and sauté well
  • Add 2 tsp soya sauce, 2 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp red chilli sauce, 2 tsp tomato sauce and mix well
  • Take 1 tsp corn flour and add 1/3 cup water and mix well without lumps
  • Add in to the prepared sauce and mix it
  • Add fried gobi, spring onions and mix till the gobi gets coated well with the sauce

Gobi Manchurian is ready to serve!!
