Potato Nuggets

Ah, its already time and party is going start in a few minutes but we have not prepared a starter yet!! What to do now?? Never panic, here comes the Potato Nuggets recipe. A quick and easy recipe which is a perfect party starter and evening snack recipe.

 

Servings: 4

Ingredients: (1 cup = 240ml)

3 boiled potatoes

1 tsp grated garlic

1 tsp chilli flakes

1 tsp oregano

½ tsp pepper powder

¼ cup mozzarella cheese

¼ cup bread crumbs

¾ cup bread crumbs to coat

Salt to taste

For corn flour batter:

2 tbsp corn flour

¼ cup water

¼ tsp pepper powder

¼ tsp salt

 

Preparation:

  • Firstly boil the potatoes
  • In a mixing bowl, add the boiled potatoes and mash well
  • Then add grated garlic, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 1 tsp oregano, ½ tsp pepper powder, ¼ cup cheese and ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • Combine all the ingredients well and make a stiff dough
  • To prepare corn flour batter, add 2 tbsp corn flour and ¼ cup water and mix without any lumps
  • followed by, add ¼ tsp pepper powder, little salt and mix well
  • now take small portion from the potato dough, roll to oval shape with greased hands
  • Dip in corn flour mixture well and then roll in bread crumbs(dust excess bread crumbs)
  • Deep fry this in hot oil with medium flame
  • Flip and fry both the sides until it turns golden brown
  • Finally, drain the excess oil with kitchen tissue and serve potato nuggets with tomato ketchup
